Free Parking Thursdays Our Free Parking Thursday Initiative in association with Dungarvan Town Council continues due to much momentum and support. The First Thursday of every month sees free parking in Council owned car parks and street side parking within Dungarvan Town Council environs. This gesture from the Dungarvan Town Council is to further support the efforts, activities and growth of town centre businesses. To ensure this day is as successful as possible we must all work together. Again the Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber implores each business owner/ manager and staff NOT TO USE town centre parking and regular ‘paid parking areas’ so the shopper can experience full benefit from this initiative. Those who take advantage of this initiative will put it in jeopardy of becoming a long term activity. Traffic Wardens will be in operation taking notes of cars left for more than a reasonable length of shopping time.
